Fusarium ear blight

Fusarium ear blight, also known as FEB, is a fungal disease of cereals including wheat, barley, oats, rye and triticale. It is caused by a range of Fusarium fungi that infect the heads of the crop and reduce grain yield. The disease is often accompanied by contamination with mycotoxins the fungi produce while the crop is still growing in the field, and it can cause severe economic losses because mycotoxin contaminated grain cannot be sold for food or feed.
