Pests and Diseases

The pests, pathogens and diseases that threaten farmed crops and livestock: insect and mite pests, plant pathogenic fungi, bacteria, viruses and nematodes, and the parasites and infectious diseases that affect livestock, each carried with its host range, geographic distribution and economic impact where documented. Belongs here: a named agricultural pest, plant pathogen, or livestock disease or parasite considered as an agricultural subject in its own right. Does not belong here: the same organism studied purely as wildlife, which is Nature's subject, the farming method used to prevent or manage it, such as integrated pest management or crop rotation, which is Practices' subject, or a human disease with no agricultural host, which is Medicine's subject.
