Amir Muhammed was a Pakistani agricultural scientist and administrator who directed the Nuclear Institute for Agriculture and Biology in Faisalabad from 1969 to 1974 before serving as vice chancellor of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, during Pakistan's food crisis beginning in 1974. In 1978 he became founder-chairman of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, a position he held until 1990, while simultaneously serving as Federal Secretary of Pakistan's Ministry of Agriculture, sustaining a career focused on advancing the country's agricultural research and food security during a critical period.
