Aeroponics

Aeroponics is the cultivation of plants in an air or mist environment rather than in soil or another solid growing medium, with the plant roots suspended and periodically misted with a nutrient solution. The term comes from the ancient Greek words for air and labor, and the technique is generally classed as a form of hydroponics, since water is still used to carry nutrients to the plants even though no soil or aggregate medium is present.
