Robert Lindsay Collins, born February 8, 1946, in Newcastle, New South Wales, and died September 21, 2007, in Darwin, was an Australian Labor politician who served in the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 1977 to 1987 and the Australian Senate from 1987 to 1998, becoming the first Northern Territorian to serve as a federal minister. He served as Minister for Primary Industries and Energy from December 1993 to 1996 under Prime Minister Paul Keating, succeeding Simon Crean and preceding John Anderson.
