Marcelino Domingo Sanjuan was a Spanish educator, journalist and politician of the Second Republic era, born in Tortosa in 1884 and dying in exile in Toulouse in 1939. He held the agriculture portfolio twice in 1931 to 1933, first from December 1931 to June 1933 and again briefly from June to September 1933, after earlier serving as Minister of Public Instruction, where he restricted religious education and authorized Catalan bilingual schooling. A founder of the Radical Socialist Republican Party and later a figure in Republican Left, he also directed republican newspapers and sat as a deputy across several Republican era elections.
