Isabel Garcia Tejerina is a Spanish agricultural engineer and Popular Party politician who served as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Environment from April 2014 to June 2018 under Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, leaving office when a vote of no confidence removed the Rajoy government. Trained as an agricultural engineer at Madrid's Technical University with a graduate degree in agricultural economics from the University of California, Davis, she had twice served as the ministry's general secretary of agriculture and feeding before her appointment as minister. She was born in Valladolid in 1968.
