Miguel Primo de Rivera y Saenz de Heredia

Miguel Primo de Rivera y Saenz de Heredia was a Spanish politician of the Franco era, born in Madrid in 1904 and dying there in 1964. The son of dictator Miguel Primo de Rivera and brother of Falange founder Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera, he served as Minister of Agriculture from 1941 to 1945 and also held posts as Civil Governor of Madrid, Mayor of Jerez de la Frontera and Spanish Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Imprisoned by Republican forces during the Civil War alongside his brother, who was executed in 1936, he later sat as a Procurator in Franco's Cortes and held the noble titles of Duke of Primo de Rivera and Marquis of Estella.
