Pestivirus Diseases

Livestock diseases caused by viruses of the genus Pestivirus in the family Pestiviridae, which infect pigs and cattle and can cause fever, abortion, poor growth and death. The group holds classical swine fever, once called hog cholera, and bovine viral diarrhea, one of the most widespread cattle viruses. An animal disease belongs here when its cited article names a Pestivirus or an Orthopestivirus species as its cause.
