Longan witches broom-associated virus

Longan witches broom-associated virus is a positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus not yet assigned to a genus within the family Potyviridae. It is thought to cause witch's broom in longan, a large tropical tree of economic value native to southeastern Asia; the disease itself was first described in 1941. The virus has been found in symptomatic plants and absent from healthy ones, though not all of Koch's postulates confirming it as the cause have been fulfilled.
