Kalahari Red Goat

Goats

The Kalahari Red is a breed of goat originating in South Africa, named for its red coat and the Kalahari Desert region. It is used mainly for meat production and has adapted to resist a harsh environment, with its red coat providing protection against sunlight and a natural resistance to disease. The breed is well suited to rangeland affected by woody plant encroachment.
