Murphy Family Farms was an American hog-production company built by Wendell H. Murphy in Duplin County, North Carolina, that grew into one of the largest pork producers in the United States through vertically integrated, contract-based hog farming. It later merged into what became Murphy-Brown, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods.
