Ram Badan Singh is an Indian agricultural scientist and academic administrator who holds a doctoral degree in genetics from New York State University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He has served as chancellor of the Central Agricultural University, president of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, a member of India's National Commission on Farmers, and a former assistant director of the Food and Agriculture Organization, and he received India's Padma Bhushan award in 2003 for his contributions to science.
