Perry L. Adkisson (1929 to 2020) was Chancellor of the Texas A&M University System whose academic research on integrated pest management methods allowed for a 50 percent reduction in insecticide use in United States agriculture. He and his colleague Ray F. Smith shared the 1997 World Food Prize for this work.
