North American Agricultural Economists

Agricultural economists of the United States, who built the discipline in the land-grant universities and the federal government, studying farm management, farm policy, rural land and the economics of agricultural production. Many held posts at state colleges and the Department of Agriculture. A person belongs here when their cited article names them as an American agricultural economist. Their research fed directly into farm programs, price support debates and the advice that extension services gave to farmers across the country.
