Plant Sciences

Nematology is the scientific study of nematodes, or roundworms, covering both free-living species and parasitic forms. Within agriculture it focuses on plant-parasitic nematodes that damage crops such as sugar beet and potato, and on pest management, resistant crop development and soil fumigation to control them.
