The Deoni is an Indian breed of draught cattle named for the Deoni taluk of Latur district in Maharashtra's Marathwada region, also found in the Bidar district of Karnataka, and known by the alternative names Dongari, Dongarpatti, Devni, Devani and Surti. It is a horned, dual-purpose breed bred for both draught work and milk, with bulls weighing around 590 kilograms and standing 135 to 140 centimeters and cows weighing about 295 kilograms and standing 122 centimeters. The FAO listed its conservation status as not at risk as of 2007.
