Cattle and Cattle Breeds

Domestic cattle (Bos taurus and Bos indicus) and the named breeds developed from them, together with mithun, a domesticated bovine of South and Southeast Asia that regional livestock lists carry alongside cattle. Named "Cattle and Cattle Breeds" rather than the bare FAO species-class name "Cattle" because that plain name collides exactly with the atlas own base-species entity named Cattle; the heading and the entity denote the same idea in two different roles, so the heading was sharpened rather than the collision forced through. Belongs here: the base cattle species and any named cattle breed, plus mithun. Does not belong here: water buffalo or yak, related bovines FAO and DAD-IS classify as their own separate species, held under Buffalo and Yak.
