Red Sindhi Cattle

The Red Sindhi is a dairy breed of zebu cattle originating in western Sindh and the Las Bela area of Balochistan, in what is now Pakistan, also known as Sindhi or Malir. It is kept widely in Pakistan and has been distributed to India and Bangladesh, producing between roughly 1,188 and 1,675 kilograms of milk over a 270-day lactation. Because it combines heat and disease resistance with reasonable milk yield, it has been crossed with temperate dairy breeds such as Jersey cattle in Australia, Brazil, India, Sri Lanka and the United States.
