Robert Arthur Sanders, 1st Baron Bayford, born June 20, 1867, and died February 24, 1940, was an English barrister and Conservative politician who represented Bridgwater and then Wells in Parliament and served as a Lieutenant-Colonel with the Royal North Devon Yeomanry during the First World War. He was Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries from 1922 to 1924 during the Bonar Law ministry, having earlier served as Treasurer of the Household, a Junior Lord of the Treasury and Under-Secretary of State for War. He was created a Baronet in 1920, appointed to the Privy Council in 1922, and raised to the peerage as Baron Bayford in 1929.
