Andrea Jacqueline Leadsom, born May 13, 1963, in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, is a British Conservative politician who represented South Northamptonshire in Parliament from 2010 to 2024 and held ministerial posts under four prime ministers, twice standing for the Conservative Party leadership, in 2016 and 2019. She was appointed Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs on July 14, 2016, serving until 2017, and faced criticism for delaying publication of a report on diesel pollution levels until after the 2017 general election.
