Dumitru Topciu, also known as Dimitrie Gheorghe Topciu, was a Bessarabian-born agriculturalist and politician of Gagauz ethnicity, born September 2, 1888, and died in 1958 in Bucharest. He served as Undersecretary of State for Agriculture, led the Agricultural Syndicate in Tighina County and championed the corporate interests of winemakers, after first building a reputation as a lawyer and advocate for peasant welfare and sitting in Bessarabia's Sfatul Tarii parliament in 1917 and 1918.
