Bhajan Lal, born October 6, 1930, in what is now Pakistan, and died June 3, 2011, was an Indian politician who served three separate terms as Chief Minister of Haryana, in 1979, from 1982 and again from 1991. At the national level he served as Union Minister of Agriculture and as Minister of Environment and Forests in the Rajiv Gandhi government. He moved to Adampur after Partition, was first elected to the Haryana Assembly in 1968 and held that seat through most of his career, and died in Hisar following a heart attack.
