Julie Maree Collins, born July 3, 1971, in Hobart, Tasmania, is an Australian Labor politician who has represented the Division of Franklin in the House of Representatives since 2007. She served as Minister for Housing and Homelessness and Minister for Small Business from 2022 to 2024 in the Albanese government before being appointed Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry on July 29, 2024, succeeding Murray Watt, a position she continues to hold. She had earlier served in ministerial roles under the Gillard and Rudd governments before spending nine years in opposition.
