Anthony Stephen Burke, born November 4, 1969, is an Australian Labor politician who has represented the Division of Watson in the House of Representatives since 2004. He served as Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry from 2007 to 2010 under Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, during which he oversaw the abolition of the Australian bulk wheat export monopoly following the AWB oil-for-wheat scandal and managed the government's response to an outbreak of equine influenza. He went on to hold senior ministerial roles spanning environmental sustainability, immigration and the arts under the Rudd, Gillard and Albanese governments, and currently serves as Minister for Home Affairs, Immigration and Citizenship, Cyber Security, and the Arts.
