Clinton Presba Anderson (October 23, 1895 to November 11, 1975) was an American politician who served as United States Secretary of Agriculture from 1945 to 1948 under President Harry Truman, reorganizing the domestic agricultural economy after World War II. He had earlier represented New Mexico's at-large congressional district from 1941 to 1945 and went on to represent New Mexico in the US Senate from 1949 to 1973, where he championed wilderness conservation, nuclear energy policy and space exploration, chairing the Senate Committee on Aeronautical and Space Sciences from 1963 to 1973.
