Archie Galbraith Cameron, born March 22, 1895, in Happy Valley, South Australia, and died August 9, 1956, in Sydney, was an Australian politician known for his eccentric manner and strong personality who served as a government minister under Joseph Lyons and Robert Menzies. He served as Minister for Commerce from March 14 to October 28, 1940, under Robert Menzies, concurrently holding the Navy portfolio, and he earlier served as Postmaster-General from 1938 to 1939 under Lyons and Earle Page. He led the Country Party from 1939 to 1940 and later served as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1950 until his death in 1956.
