Auberon Thomas Herbert, 9th Baron Lucas and 5th Lord Dingwall, born May 25, 1876, and died November 3, 1916, was a radical British Liberal politician and Royal Flying Corps fighter pilot who died from wounds sustained when his aircraft was shot down over German lines during the First World War. He served as President of the Board of Agriculture and Fisheries from August 6, 1914, to May 25, 1915, having earlier served as Parliamentary Secretary to the same board and as Under-Secretary of State for War and for the Colonies. He inherited his titles in 1905, was sworn to the Privy Council in 1912, and took part in David Lloyd George's Land Campaign before joining the Royal Flying Corps.
