Jeremiah McLain Rusk (June 17, 1830 to November 21, 1893) was an American Republican politician who served as the second United States Secretary of Agriculture from 1889 to 1893 and as the 15th Governor of Wisconsin from 1882 to 1889. He earlier served three terms in the US House of Representatives from 1871 to 1877 and served as a Union Army officer during the Civil War, eventually receiving a brevet brigadier general appointment.
