Barnaby Joyce

Barnaby Thomas Gerard Joyce, born April 17, 1967, in Tamworth, New South Wales, is an Australian politician who has represented the electorate of New England in the House of Representatives since 2013 and earlier served as a senator for Queensland from 2005 to 2013. He was sworn in as Minister for Agriculture on September 18, 2013, a role later expanded to Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources, which he held until October 2017 with a brief further stint in December 2017, and he served twice as deputy prime minister and leader of the National Party, from 2016 to 2018 and again from 2021 to 2022. He held several other ministerial positions under the Abbott, Turnbull and Morrison governments and resigned from the National Party to join One Nation in December 2025.
