James "Tama Jim" Wilson (August 16, 1835 to August 26, 1920) was a Scottish-born American politician who served as United States Secretary of Agriculture for sixteen years, from 1897 to 1913, spanning the administrations of Presidents William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft, the longest tenure of any US Cabinet member in history. Before his cabinet role he served in the US House of Representatives from Iowa and worked as a professor and administrator in agricultural education.
