Charles Allan Seymour Hawker, born May 16, 1894, at Bungaree, South Australia, and died October 25, 1938, at Mount Dandenong, Victoria, in the Kyeema airplane disaster, was an Australian politician who represented Wakefield in the House of Representatives from 1929 until his death, first for the Nationalist Party and from 1931 for the United Australia Party. He served as Minister for Repatriation and Minister for Markets from January to April 1932 and then as Minister for Commerce from April to September 1932 under Prime Minister Joseph Lyons, resigning from the ministry on September 23, 1932, in protest after crossing the floor to vote against a parliamentary salary reduction during the Great Depression.
