Brigadier Duncan MacIntyre was a New Zealand politician of the National Party, born 10 November 1915 and died 8 June 2001, who sat in Parliament from 1960 to 1972 and again from 1975 to 1984. He held the Agriculture and Fisheries portfolio from 1975 and Agriculture alone from 1977 to 1984, encouraging farmers to diversify into forestry and horticulture, including the growing kiwifruit industry, and leading trade negotiations with the European Economic Community, while also serving as Deputy Prime Minister from 1981 to 1984 under Robert Muldoon and earlier as Minister of Lands, Forests and Maori Affairs.
