Colin James Moyle was a New Zealand politician of the Labour Party, born 18 June 1929 in Thames and died 11 May 2024, who served as a Member of Parliament across two separate periods, 1963 to 1976 and 1981 to 1990. He held the Agriculture and Fisheries portfolio in the Third Labour Government from 1972 to 1975 under Prime Ministers Norman Kirk and Bill Rowling, then again as Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Fisheries in the Fourth Labour Government from 1984 to 1990 under David Lange and Geoffrey Palmer, a second tenure in which he oversaw the removal of farming subsidies and the creation of a fisheries quota management system; between his two terms he was at the centre of a 1976 political scandal, the Moyle Affair.
