Ted Cullen

Edward Luttrell Cullen was a New Zealand politician of the Labour Party, born 5 September 1895 and died 18 February 1963, who served in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in the First World War and was awarded the Military Medal for bravery. He represented Hawkes Bay from 1935 and Hastings from 1946, serving as Minister of Agriculture from 1946 to 1949 and additionally Minister of Marketing from 1947 to 1949 in the First Labour Government, before losing his seat in 1949 and returning to farming as a business partner of Sir James Wattie, supplying produce to the Wattie's cannery.
