John Falloon

Agriculture Ministers and Government Officials

John Howard Falloon was a New Zealand politician of the National Party, born 17 February 1942 in Masterton and died 4 October 2005, who entered Parliament through a 1977 by-election for the Pahiatua electorate, succeeding Sir Keith Holyoake, and represented it until 1996. Having earlier served as Postmaster-General and in finance and statistics portfolios under Robert Muldoon, he served as Minister of Agriculture and Minister for Forestry from 1990 to 1996 under Jim Bolger, and was appointed a Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 1997.
