Benjamin Roberts was a New Zealand politician of the Labour Party, born 1880 and died 17 November 1952, who began work as a farm labourer at the age of thirteen before emigrating to New Zealand in 1907 and settling in Carterton. Elected to represent Wairarapa in 1935, he served as Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Marketing from 1943 to 1946 in the First Labour Government under Peter Fraser, retiring from Parliament in 1946.
