Raimundo Fernandez-Cuesta

Raimundo Fernandez-Cuesta y Merelo was a Spanish politician and a leading figure of the Falange, born in Madrid in 1896 and dying there in 1992. He served as Secretary General of FET y de las JONS from 1937 to 1939 and held the Ministry of Agriculture in Francisco Franco's early Nationalist government based in Burgos, a tenure that proved largely unsuccessful. He later served as Minister of Justice from 1945 and as General Secretary of the Movement from 1948 to 1956, and after Franco's death he tried, with little electoral success, to revive the Falange in democratic Spain.
