Jesus Posada is a Spanish civil engineer and politician who served as Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food from April 1999 to April 2000 under Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar. A member of the Popular Party and a career member of Spain's state civil administrators corps, he had earlier served as civil governor of Huelva and president of the regional government of Castilla y Leon, and after leaving the agriculture ministry he became Minister of Public Administrations and later, from 2011 to 2016, president of the Congress of Deputies. He was born in Soria in 1945.
