Cirilo del Rio Rodriguez was a Spanish lawyer and politician born in Castellar de Santiago in 1892 and dying in Madrid in 1957. A member of the Progressive Republican Party aligned with Niceto Alcala Zamora, he represented Ciudad Real in the Cortes and served as Minister of Agriculture from December 1933 to April 1934 during Spain's Second Republic. He later served as Minister of Public Works and Communications from December 1935 to February 1936, and although he supported the 1936 military uprising against the Republic, he was later penalized under Franco's own Law of Political Responsibilities.
