Carlos Rein Segura was a Spanish agronomist and Falangist politician born in Malaga in 1897 and dying in Madrid in 1992. He served as Minister of Agriculture from 1945 to 1951, championing legislation on rural property expropriation and agricultural colonization of irrigable zones, and establishing agricultural research institutes and grain storage infrastructure. He also sat as a procurador in Franco's Cortes and directed state tobacco services, later moving into private industry with breweries, agricultural equipment firms and banking.
