Franco Restivo was an Italian Christian Democracy politician from Palermo who served as President of Sicily from 1949 to 1955 before returning to national politics as a deputy in 1958. He held the agriculture portfolio from 1966 to 1968 as Minister of Agriculture, then served a long and difficult term as Minister of the Interior from 1968 to 1972, a period that included the Piazza Fontana bombing and a serious escalation of public disorder. He briefly served as Minister of Defense in 1972 before his death in 1976.
