Vegetables and Melons

Annual and short-cycle crops grown for an edible leaf, root, bulb, fruit or seed pod eaten as a savory vegetable, together with the melons FAO groups with vegetables rather than with tree and vine fruit: cabbage, carrot, chili pepper, cucumber, eggplant, garlic, lettuce, onion, pumpkin, spinach, tomato and watermelon.
