Lohi Sheep

The Lohi is a sheep breed found in Punjab province of Pakistan and in the neighboring Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana regions of India. It has a white body with a tan, black or brown head, very large lop ears that are usually tasseled, and both rams and ewes are naturally polled. Adult rams weigh about 65 kilograms and ewes about 45 kilograms, and the breed is kept for a dual purpose of carpet-quality wool, with an average annual clip of about 3 kilograms of medium wool near 40 micrometers in diameter, and meat, with ewes also yielding around 1.2 liters of milk a day.
