Producer and Commodity Organizations

Industry bodies funded by and serving producers directly, rather than government ministries or public research institutes, including the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board, a statutory UK levy board funded by farmer contributions, and Holstein Association USA, the breed registry and services organization for Holstein dairy cattle. Belongs here: any organization whose funding and governance come from the producers or breeders it serves rather than general government revenue or a research charter. Does not belong here: a government ministry or department, grouped under National Government Ministries and Departments, even where it funds services to the same producers.
