Gloucestershire Old Spots is an English breed of pig, predominantly white with black spots, named after the county of Gloucestershire. The breed is known for its docility, intelligence, prolificity and hardiness, with mature boars reaching about 600 pounds and sows about 500 pounds. At least one black spot on the body is required for registry. Its strong maternal instincts let it raise large litters of piglets on pasture, making it well suited to diversified and pasture-based farming operations.
