Pin Nematodes

Plant-parasitic nematodes of the genus Paratylenchus, small migratory root feeders that cause lesions, yellowing and wilting. A nematode belongs here when its cited article names it as a Paratylenchus species. Pin nematodes are small and feed from outside the root, so their damage is easy to overlook and is often blamed on other causes, and some species are important on tea, fruit trees and vegetables. Management is mainly crop rotation and healthy planting material. This heading gathers the pin nematodes of the atlas so a visitor can compare their hosts.
