International Agricultural Research Centers

The CGIAR system and its constituent international research centers: the network's own coordinating body and the fourteen centers researching crops, livestock, forestry, fisheries and water management across the developing world, including Africa Rice Center, Bioversity International, CIMMYT, ICARDA, ICRISAT, IFPRI, IITA, ILRI, IRRI, the International Center for Tropical Agriculture, the International Potato Center, the International Water Management Institute, the Center for International Forestry Research and WorldFish. Belongs here: any institution that is CGIAR itself or one of its research centers, holding an international research mandate funded by a consortium of governments and donors rather than a single state. Does not belong here: United Nations agencies with a policy, financing or standard-setting mandate rather than a primary research mission, grouped under Intergovernmental and UN Agricultural Bodies, or a single country's own national research institute, grouped under National Agricultural Research Institutes.
