Intergovernmental and UN Agricultural Bodies

Treaty-based intergovernmental organizations with a standing mandate over food, agriculture or animal health policy across member states, including the Food and Agriculture Organization, the World Food Programme, the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the World Organisation for Animal Health. Belongs here: any body whose membership is national governments and whose charter gives it authority or a coordinating role in agricultural policy, food assistance, development financing or animal health standards at the international level. Does not belong here: the CGIAR research centers, which are internationally funded but organized around research rather than intergovernmental policy authority, grouped under International Agricultural Research Centers, or a single country's own ministry, grouped under National Government Ministries and Departments.
