All Beetle and Weevil Pests

Crop and stored-product pests that are beetles of the order Coleoptera, including weevils and scarab beetles, whose adults or larvae feed on roots, fruit, seeds and grain. A pest belongs here when its cited article calls it a beetle, weevil or scarab or places it in a beetle family. Beetle pests range from field pests of cotton, potato and maize to stored-grain pests, and some spread across continents as invasive species after arriving in trade. Managing them can mean crop rotation, trapping, resistant varieties, quarantine measures and careful grain storage. This heading gathers them so a visitor can compare how different beetles damage different crops.
